(heavy) sunday philosophising...

just watched Zeitgeist. Addendum.
and suddenly you feel like rethinking some of your ways of living. the way i make choises and in the end what i want to do as a designer...

... industrial designer, Jacque Fresco. He has worked nearly his entire life to create the tools needed to assist a design of the world which could eventually eradicate war, poverty, crime, social stratification and corruption...

you cannot watch this without starting thinking about the way you make choises, what you base your decisions on. this relates back to my current project...

our project about Silja Line`s future cruise ships focuses on to main issues.
Eco responsibility and cruise culture( a.k.a drinking culture) the culture of the consumer.
the culture of our time.

realising that when given the possibility to change something you are given a big resposibility.
taking on a big responsibility while addressing what seems to be small details.
making the most of it. and i feel exited about the following two weeks. motivated and inspired.
and a bit overwhelmed...

a personal touch...

on information. Kipsari, one of the the school cafeteria were tired of people taking to much food and then throwing away the food. so they made this sign.

Nori, my flat mate, wanted us to eat dinner together last sunday. this is how he made it happen.
needless to say i showed up. he might not be big, but he is japanese and don`t they all know kung-fu? but at least he did say please...

and ending with my view outside of school today...rainbows are nice.

coming soon...me and danny having a one hour design challange, we are making a lamp
i got double sided tape and he`s got an old lamp. stay tuned...

Minilogue - Animals from ljudbilden on Vimeo.

enjoi.

street(art)smart...

still raining outide...
a good reason to stay inside, work a on the project and go through old material (found this picture that i think has an exelent point.). also download some new music to put
on my new: "crazy creative zen portable party stone plus"

tried not having a music player, useally have one at all times, and it was not fun.
i`m a music addict. who doesn`t need a soundtrack to everyday situations?

ending with this, only in finland would you find Mumi streetart...

facination of...

...interactive dancefloor. like a lavalamp stealing your attention for an emberrasing long time.

...honest people, if you got something to say, dont sugar coat it.

...shiny chrome things.

...simple eveyday things that are ugly but still facinating if you look closely.
(that is...if you have worked 8 hours on a presentation and then look)

information signs.
ending with a short reminder to not forget "man`s best friend"
(ledar hund = the seeing eye dog) he might not be as important as the blind man(synskadade), but at least he got mentioned this time...

treasure hunting...

looking for hidden surprices from Bjørg (my girlfriend). one of my favourit past times.
once this snowstorm blows over i`m going out to look for more...hope it doesn`t last too long.
because i can`t wait...who doesn`t like a good treasure hunt?

and then there was snow...

mother nature has teased helsinki with a little snow for a while now.
on sunday she decided to give us the full treatment. needless to say the
people in Helsinki was not ready...

arabia in snowstorm...with one stoked French guy, Pierre, who played in the snow all the way home that day. we all felt like children. good times.

and its still snowing...a lot!

what is a laptop...

...without power supply? a piece of plastic...

for a about a week my laptop has been a little useless.
actually totally useless.
On the Silja Line i forgot my power adapter in the cabin. big mistake.
After four trips to "lost and found" i realised my loss and purchased one of those
universal monsters. ..it`s HUGE!!

so now i`m back in full power and bringing some updates from Helsinki.

ps: some friends of mine have started their world tour, including feelgood member
Henning Fjeldheim. this is their blog:

ze`brah love...

Danny and Adrian ze`brah style...a late halloween costume update...good times

Tallinn

finnished my presentation, everything went as planned, then ran to the bus...1 hour later i was on the ferry to Tallinn, Estonia. never been there before...

you will always find the truth on toilet walls...or at least some guy`s frustration.
(toilet wall on ferry harbour)

...?

found behind the hostel toilet...well at least they are trying.
8€ doorms. great place, just dont remember the name.

since we arrived 17:30 in Tallinn, it was pretty much dark outside...but the old town looks really good at night... would actually recommend sightseeing in the dark...

got to check out the lokal street artist`s...not sure if they are all from the same artist, but they are a fresh breath into your everyday tags...

though some people put a bit more effort into their work...nice optical illution

but lot of school work is waiting back in Helsinki...so after 24 hours in Tallinn we had to leave.
